Representative Engagements


  • Partnered with the Department of Homeland Security to safeguard against cybersecurity threats to critical infrastructure.

  • Represented the audit and control committee of a foreign petroleum company in connection with an international investigation involving reduction of certain proved oil and gas reserves and corresponding accounting adjustments.

  • Represented the board of directors of a publicly traded energy company in connection with an internal investigation of the reduction of certain proved oil and gas reserves and corresponding accounting adjustments.

  • Represented a multinational conglomerate before the Department of Justice related to a Foreign Corrupt Practices Act review of activities in South Korea, China, Germany and United Kingdom in connection of the $1 billion sale of the company's automobile subsidiary.

  • Represented a multinational consumer goods company before the FTC in connection with the company's $3.5 billion merger with a competitor, which included divestiture of major assets.

  • Represented a multinational bank before the Department of Justice in connection with a review of the $5 billion merger of radio broadcasting companies.

  • Representation of a manufacturer of engineering equipment in connection with its $1.85 billion acquisition of a leading manufacturer and marketer of electronic interconnect systems and products.

  • Representation of the third-largest greeting card manufacturer before the Department of Justice in connection with the company's $162 million acquisition of a competitor.

  • Representation of a semiconductor manufacturer and designer before the Department of Justice in connection with the company's $2.95 billion sale of certain defense systems assets to a defense contractor. Representation included responding to a Second Request and multiple Civil Investigative Demands served during the Second Request period.

  • Representation of a multinational pharmaceutical company before the FTC in connection with the company's $23.3 billion merger with a competitor.
  • Representation of a medical auditing firm in multibillion-dollar False Claims Act investigation and litigation.

  • Advised a multinational automobile manufacturer regarding supply chain price-fixing.

  • Representation of a telecommunications conglomerate before the DOJ in connection with the company's acquisition of a Canadian regional sports network.

  • Representation of a multinational media conglomerate in connection with a proposed combination in the music industry.

  • Helped craft audit methodology to support PCAOB requirements for a Big Four accounting firm and performed quality reviews in advance of PCAOB audits in the United States and internationally.

  • Worked with Bernard Madoff Trustee and SIPC to recoup investors’ funds.

  • Representation of the OCC in fraud and financial misconduct involving national banks. Recommended administrative enforcement strategies and remedies to senior management and negotiated settlements with institution-affiliated parties.
